La Hacienda Azul is the realization of a lifelong dream for us: a group of good friends in love with the Costa de la Luz, and especially with the area of Chiclana.
The original plan was a holiday retreat for family and friends, as well as a fantastic place to enjoy our future retirement together.
However, sometimes life has other plans, and as we became increasingly fond of “our little village,” as we affectionately call La Hacienda, the idea of sharing it with others began to grow stronger. That’s why we are especially excited to welcome you as guests, so you too can enjoy the light and charm of La Hacienda Azul.
About La Hacienda
Located in a quiet setting just 2 km from La Barrosa Beach, its 4500 m² of private, fenced property offers the perfect space for a vacation, group activities, special events like weddings and first communions, and other types of gatherings.
The property, filled with orange trees and pines, consists of two houses and a bungalow, as well as a pool, two outdoor restrooms, a game room, and a terrace with a pergola for celebrations. With a total of 7 bedrooms and 5 full bathrooms spread across the three buildings, there is space for up to 18 people.

Perfect for families or friends who want to spend time together, whether relaxing by the pool, enjoying a BBQ, or celebrating special holidays. The children’s playground, mini-golf, football field, and game room will keep both kids and adults busy, burning energy so they can also rest and unwind.
Whether for a large family, several smaller ones, or a group vacation with friends, La Hacienda offers plenty of space and, consequently, many possibilities for shared activities and, at the same time, for retreat and privacy. The division of rooms between several houses allows flexibility in choosing bedrooms.
The large outdoor area around the pool, the oven and stone-built BBQ, the shared kitchen, and the shaded pergola serve as meeting points for socializing. The nearby bike, motorcycle, and car rentals allow you to visit the beach and explore the surroundings. Feel free to contact us.
Group Projects
Sometimes, our professional life can be affected by monotony, leading us to feel demotivated and perform poorly in our work. Other times, it’s our clients, patients, students, etc., who lack enough motivation to keep going. In either case, a change of scenery can stimulate us enough to regain our enthusiasm and energy, especially if that scenery, just 20 minutes’ walk from the sea, offers us 300 days of sunshine a year.
At La Hacienda Azul, we can help you plan Spanish lessons and theater, cooking, or dance classes for your students, offering support with excursions and other free-time activities of your choice. If what you need, however, is simply a place to offer wellness, meditation, or even smoking cessation retreats, we are at your full disposal to advise you and make the necessary accommodations, such as setting up a conference room equipped with audiovisual equipment for workshops, coaching, or seminars.
La Hacienda is particularly suitable for yoga retreats, meditation workshops, golf groups, and hiking or cycling groups, as it offers ample space for communal activities, while the division of rooms between several houses also allows for retreat and privacy. With around 300 days of sunshine a year and an average temperature of 19ºC, Chiclana is one of Spain’s most popular holiday destinations, and not just because of its fantastic climate, excellent local cuisine and 8km of beach.
Spa town with over 3000 years of history, Chiclana currently offers other
attractions such as the Sancti Petri Marina, perfect for renting a boat or practicing water sports; riding schools that also offer horseback rides on the beach; and, of course, tennis and paddle clubs, as well as top-notch golf courses, one of which features a 27-hole course.
The various hiking trails wind their way through salt flats and marshes, allowing visitors to discover a unique natural environment within the Cádiz Bay Natural Park. However, not everything in life is sport…
Chiclana is one of the municipalities belonging to the Wine and Brandy Route of
the Marco de Jerez and, as a result, it boasts a rich and varied selection of
wineries, bars, and restaurants where you can taste the wines, either with tapas
or paired with the culinary delights of the region, such as fresh fish, seafood,
rice dishes, and meats that are so juicy and tender they melt in your mouth.
Some of the most notable local festivals where you can continue experimenting
with the local wine (hey, why not?), include Carnival, Holy Week, Red Tuna
Month, the San Antonio Fair, and the Flamenco Zambombas in December.
Additionally, every summer, the Concert Music Festival takes place, where you
can enjoy performances by both national and internationally renowned
musicians.
Despite all of the above, the main tourist appeal of the city lies in its
atmosphere, its authenticity, and the lifestyle of its people, who seem to have
resisted the tourist boom of recent years.
Discovering the Province
Surrounded by 270 km of coastline, it’s no surprise that Cádiz is well known for its beaches.
However, with six natural parks, it has more protected spaces than any other province in Andalusia. Its incredible diversity offers something for everyone, no matter how varied their interests may be.
For those who wish to explore its many facets, Chiclana offers a unique base from which to explore each of them, with the shortest distance being the 22 km to the oldest city in Western Europe, Cádiz, and the longest, the 120 km to Sierra de Grazalema mountains.
